Canvas Art

This canvas was inspired by a technique on Tim Holtz's blog. Using Alterations Tattered Florals, cut patterned grunge, and glue to the canvas, using Rangers multi-medium.

Position book paper over canvas for placement, remove, put paper on firm surface & stamp images. Cover canvas & grunge piece with multi-medium. Top with stamped book paper.

Use fingers to mold paper to canvas, & glue edges down. Let dry. Distress over grunge flower to bring embossed image up. Add dabber paint to metal pieces, let dry until tacky, than wipe off raised parts with damp paper towel. This brings out the metal color but the paint color remains to add depth. Dabbers are great to use on metal as you can get the paint down into the debossed areas evenly. Lastly I added the painted grunge crown. With a few stamps, some distress ink & paint as well as awesome Tim Holtz products, we can now all be artists! Have fun & be creative!
