This calendar for July was inspired by the Colorful star studded designs of BoBunny's Block Party group in the kit. They reminded me of celebrations, summer and fun. Two sheets from the group were chosen for the base. Any of the Block Party sheets can be combined for this purpose. They were attached and overlapped to give length with the worded Picnic sheet at top. The words were block and facing all directions to lend colorful design.
A red strip of the cardstock was attached over a solid cream cardstock strip. A chipboard star was overlaid. This star was sprayed with Tattered Angel's Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist a couple of times. Let the applications dry between sprayings to be able to see missed areas. Once it dried, the star had to be pressed flat by topping it with a heavy book. Redline tape was used to glue it to the calendar top. ScrapbooksPlus carries a wide assortment of colors in the Glimmer Mist. It is a fun product to achieve custom looks. The calendar was formed on the computer and printed on cream cardstock. A hole was punched with the Crop-A-Dile for hanging on the wall. Try making a creative calendar for each month.
