Cards & Tags Oh My

The Bo Bunny, Block Party paper is perfect for this BBQ Invite card. I border punched the edge, & distressed it. The flower lines were put on with Smooch which leaves a very sparkly bright color, & than distressed. After adding Stickles on the dot paper & distressing the edges, the card was easy to assemble. The journal blocks are 7Gypsies & went perfectly with the theme!

For this tag I used 3 distress ink pads, Fired Brick, Sapphire, & Mustard Seed. To get the background color using a craft mat, put each ink pad down to create 3 color squares close to each other. Take your tag & put in on top of the ink squares & swirl the tag around picking up the ink with the tag. Lift tag up to check coverage & rotate on the ink to cover completely & heat dry. Stamp a script stamp with Fired Brick, to finish the background. I digitally enhanced my photo & adhered it to the tag. "Firecracker" was cut from the left over paper from the card. To make the embellishment use a Tim Holtz Fragment. I cut the paper out & added a sticker (all from this months kit) than adhered using glossy accents. This is my favorite adhesive to use with acrylics because it dries perfectly clear. The trick is to put some in the middle of the paper, put the fragment on top & than swirl the fragment around which distributes the glue (a little goes a long way). Some ribbon, a charm & voila the tag is finished! Now you can mail it as a card, add it to a scrapbook page or use it as a book mark. This is also a great way to use up your scraps. Have fun!
