Cleveland Places by Esther

The Ice Cream cardstock in October Afternoon was an eye catching design. My trip to Cleveland, Ohio gave me pictures of antique stores. Antiques remind me of quilts, just like the cardstock. The pictures were mounted to rectangles of Ice Cream and Front Porch utilizing the gingham checks. The corners were shaped with the Cloud Corner Chomper. The quilted pattern was torn and added on two sides of the layout. Since the pictures were dark, I left the light tones in the papers for contrast.
A coffee filter flower was used to accent. Lines of fruits and circles from Front Porch were mounted to chipboard. Schoolroom Alpha Sticker Letters were used for the title on a rectangle of Dandelions cardstock. The last accent chosen was a quilt from Microsoft Publisher printed on photo paper. A dark brown Copic markers was used to ink edges of the accents. You can obtain most colors of the Copic Markers at ScrapbooksPlus. They are good for concentration of color achieved by going over the area several times.
