More Orange!

Like Lisa's son, I, too, love orange. I was drawn to the same pattern as Lisa. I thought the colors of this pattern complemented my daughter's skin tone - complete with "stage makeup" for her dance recital last spring and the yucky wall color inside the school where the recital was held.

Their dance was cute! All the girls held flower bouquets and the song was "Going to the Chapel." I decided to repeat the flowers from her costume in the layout.

For this layout, I used tea stain distress ink which has a nice orangy-tan color. I not only used it around the edges, but over the green leaves in the paper at the bottom to soften it a bit.

I cut out one of the large flowers and decided to really embellish it - leaves, feathers, ribbon and a Prima paper rose in the center. At the top of the page is a cute wooden butterfly by Kaisercraft. Behind the embellishment is a sheet of dictionary paper and a scrap of Lily Bee Design's new stationary line.
