Celebrate by Esther

The red, white and blue kit gave the inspiration for me to research the U.S. flag for a layout. The page map was posted at the beginning of this month. The base for the layout is the blue side of Moxxie's Star-spangled. A part of the swirl from Grand Ol' Flag was cut to drape at the top left corner with triangles and jewels for accents. White mesh was placed across the top third of the sheet and anchored with red ribbon wrapped to the back. My Mind's Eye Celebration Banner Red plaid was used to mount the photos that were sized to fit the page. Blue glitter cardstock by Bazzill was used for stars and corners. The red star is a chipboard diecut and glittered with Stickles. The hardest part was waiting for the heavy layer of Stickles to dry.

The title was welded with the Gypsy and die cut on the Cricut Expression. It was adhered to white cardstock and attached with brads by Bo-Bunny. Tim Holtz wooden disks had numbers that did not relate to the layout. I used letters from the Jenni Bowlin stickers to spell "fourth" and put a clear glaze over them. Patience was needed again: I had to wait for them to dry. The disks were attached to hold the mesh down at its top.
