Memories of Hope by Esther

This is the page that came to my imagination when I found a brown envelope of pictures of relatives. They are unlabeled and not to be identified since most are deceased. The photos were mostly the same size and in sepia. Grouping them on a strip of cardstock gave a sense of unity. The sentiment was a Teresa Collins tag that reminded me that they had hope of a better life for their children.

The Teresa Collins Giving Thanks group of designs lend themselves to the vintage photos. Stripes, Brocade and Thank You gave the decorative touches to the background of Gratitude Notes. Silver leaves & clear rhinestones gave a little glitz. Silk yoyos, pearl pins & pearl cotton were added to buttons and a silver locket. The title was diecut of black cardstock. A transparency label was adhered to cardstock in lower right. The journaling was printed on vellum.

This layout is one of your best. The photos are priceless, you are so lucky to have them. I agree this line lends itself to sepia photos. I might have to buy a few more papers so I can scrapbook old sepia toned photos.

Esther,

I love the way you do artwork with your vintage photos. They always evoke a different time and place so eloquently.

Our photos from long ago are not always exactly what we want or as many as we want, but you always manage to create a beautiful look and feel of days gone by.
