Using Lots of Paper

The Juliette line by SEI has lots and lots of patterns in it - plaid, floral, some shimmery and some with glitter. You know they'll all work together - hey, they're in the same line. But with all those different patterns it can sometimes be confusing to try and put them together.

Sometimes a little moderation works --

Here I took four of the papers and cut equal squares. I used a KI Memories die cut paper behind the block of paper, then layered my photos, ribbon and title on top. Changing my photos to black and white helped keep extra colors at bay - Rachel's recital costume had a bright lime green in it and the school lockers weren't very pretty. I used the two more muted papers under my photo as well and placed a wide crochet ribbon under them.

For this two-page layout I chose to use long strips of paper and run my photos horizontally across the page. I filled in the extra spaces with Maya Road journaling spots, a Jenni Bowlin card, and assorted flowers & heart. I kept my strong patterns at each end and not right next to one another.
