When I was given the cute challenge kit to try out for the ScrapbooksPlus 2010 Design Team, I loved the paper, the lace and cute embellishments. I immediately thought I could use the black and white photos of my cute granddaughter and knew how much fun it will be to scrap them.
You may immediately think of doing heritage pages when you see lace and pattern paper, but I wanted to try another look. I think the black and white photos work well with the gray and pink papers. Black and white photos are fun to use for a different look.
I sewed around the edge of the gray paper. It gives it a nice frame look. I think it breaks up the solid color and looks cute.
To follow the pagemap that came in the kit, I used my circle punch on one of the pattern papers to make circles for the upper right corner. To give it some dimension I sanded the paper and used pop dots to adhere the circles. I love to play with punches and use them somewhere on my pages. I think the circle punch worked well with this layout. It's a very cute and simple layout, but I had fun creating it.
