Mixing Collections? No problem!

I love how easy it is to layer the paper is this collection! The great thing about both This & That collections from Echo Park is that they all go together. Half the paper and embellishments are from "Charming" and half from "Graceful."

With all the neutral color in the papers (and the muted teal), it was easy to let the photo stand out. And the lines on the Tickets Please paper are perfect for adding journaling. To accent the layout, I used a cut chipboard piece, a few buttons and a "card" cut from the Primer paper layered over on of the border strips.

She's a STAR!

My daughter found out last month that her baby due in August is a GIRL! This is my first granddaughter and I could not be more thrilled! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to scrapbook and craft with PINK girly papers and embellishments since finding out. I created this star for her room because she is going to be another bright star in our family! I used the Graceful line of papers from the Echo Park "This and That" collection. These papers are beautiful! I purchased a metal star Christmas ornament this past December and covered it with some of the Graceful papers. I had so much fun blinking it up with beads, Ranger Stickles, Rhinestones, Tim Holtz Distress Inks, Ribbon and some of the stickers/button from the "This and That" line. Memories Make & Take

Make & Take April 25th

Create a beautiful  layout to showcase those wonderful family or travel memories with this year's Make and Take.

When I say the new BoBunny Weekend Market line I fell in love with it.  I especially loved the tiny charms—a sewing machine, globe, camera, key and fan.  I was thinking of a variety of different things I could use them for.  A card for my seamstress sister with the sewing machine.  A page for my travel pictues with the globe.  I had at least one idea for every charm.  

Instead, I designed this week's Make and Take using all five charms.  Combining the charms, lace and the BoBunny papers created a antique looking page that is great for family, travel or even food memories.  

It is designed with room for pictures of a variety of sizes since if you’re like me, my older pictures aren’t always a standard size.  And even if they are, I sometimes want to cut something out of the picture.  With matching stickers, buttons and diecuts, making an interesting page is easy as can be.  The free element is a card with a Tim Holtz Jalopy cut out.

Memo Board Class

Spend a fun afternoon creating a unique magnetic memo board and magnets to match.  You can use the memo boardfor notes, calendars, scrapbook ideas or pictures that make you happy.   I’m going to use mine to hold all my Sizzix Movers & Shapers  dies so  I’ll be able to see them all at once as I plan a scrapbook page.

During the class you'll learn techniques that you can use to make other memo boards or in other papercrafting projects.  For example, you'll learn how to make flowers with ribbon and glubers.  We'll use a variety of materials. 

You don’t need a lot of special tools so once you learn the techniques you’ll be able to make memo boards for children’s rooms, gifts, your office.You are limited only by the available scrapbook paper. Let’s face it there is always more scrapbook paper that you’d love to use so join us for a fun and productive afternoon.

Word Fun!
If you love creating layers and a pop effect within your layouts, “This and That”  papers by Echo Park is absolutely perfect; and they come in a set of papers created for little boys and a set for little girls.  In this layout I went with the “This and That” Charming paper set, it was perfect for pictures of my nephew and his big sister.

In this layout I cut one of the sticker strips from the “Element Stickers” and placed the sticker words over the various poses of my Nephew, the words were perfect for the particular pictures.  I added additional stickers from the “Element Stickers” to my layout along with “you are Perfect” from the Charming Chipboard pack.  I loved the “Border Strip” paper and cut about six different strips of the boarder out and layered overtop of the various papers to create a wonderful finished look.   I created and equally similar layout for my niece in the Graceful, “This and That” paper set by Echo Park.   Great papers and wonderful embellishment packs to go with this paper line!

Tee-Ball

I found that the colors in the Echo Park "This and That" line were a perfect match for my grandson, Trey's, tee-ball pictures from last Spring. This page came together easily and quickly because of how well all the papers go together and all the awesome embellishments! I had a hard time deciding which embellishments to use because I couldn't fit everything I liked on the page! With great pictures, Tim Holtz distressed inks, an edge distresser, and glue you too can create a fun and fast-to-complete scrapbook layout like this! You Are Perfect Just the Way You Are!!

Shouldn't every child feel like they are perfect just the way they are?!! I love the message of this layout!

I found that I loved the greens in the boy version of this collection but had a hard time with this one. That did not turn out to be the case. The reds and greens from this collection blended quite well!
